CARTOON MAKEUP

Cartoon makeup is a type of illusion makeup. Its purpose is to make our surfaces, in this case the face and body, appear as if they are flat, such as a two dimensional character’s. In order to achieve this illusion, we need matte and opaque colours, but most importantly clean graphic lines.
No makeup look is complete without its props and cartoon makeup is not an exception. These props are either created using paper or by being drawn during editing.

Everything in these photographs, from the makeup to the lighting setup, is done by me, unless otherwise stated.
